Track/ROTC
A few weeks ago I was called over to the sports desk to brainstorm ideas for a story about a track athlete who is also in ROTC. I followed the art from concept to shooting, to editing and publishing.

Quality vs. Quantity
When covering home track meets, which occur only twice as frequently as Groundhog’s Day, there is a big demand to get a photo of everyone competing. You can image how the job become monotonous. By focusing on covering everyone you can miss great moments, and when trying for better than average photos you miss some other events. Its a push/pull that can leave you confused in the end. I came away from the meet on Saturday with a great number of standard images, but also a few moments.

Shooting for friends
I absolutely loved my team that I ran with for four years at Benet Academy. 95% of the guys were extremely like-able. It was great to go back and watch them succeed once more. Here’s to you Stove, Dickey, Phildo, Eddo, NateDogg, Psychokillah6969, Coco, Showtime, CannovaJoe, and Gorenz.
Seen here is Showtime anchoring the 4×100, which they placed 2nd in.

Illini Invite ReDo
So the guy in the image from the previous post was just a rabbit for the race, and that doesn’t count.
Also I want to show a photo from the D700

Illini Invite
First assignment with the D700 and I upload a shot from the D70s? What a country!

I just enjoy how the lead runner is a good 8 inches of the ground but both feet are level.
